Complimentary reservations mean that the Management Company will receive any net proceeds from the reservation instead of the owner. For example, you may negotiate in your contract one week per year free usage of the owners unit. This week could be used to aid in forced last minute reservation moves, public relations to travel agents or simply rented to the public as normal. The amount of money a reservation owes you depends entirely upon the booking process not its complimentary status. When the reservation is reported to the owner the complimentary statement entered in the control file will print on his statement instead of dollar amounts. If the reservation nets income, this income will be posted to the complimentary income account assigned in the control file. The system does, on a limited basis, maintain the number of nights a unit has been booked on a complimentary basis. You can also use the Unit Nights Booked report to acquire this information.
