To adjust the amount of tax charged to future reservations go to the Control File, Commissions taxes and charges screen #1 and change the appropriate value. Once this is done the tax will be charged when applicable from that point forward. To recalculate taxes for reservations already booked, first change the value in the Control File, commissions, taxes and charges screen and then go the Resort Management System Utilities screen. This may require assistance from AMS. Click on the "Recalculate Taxes" option from the main System Utilities menu. Choose whether to base by arrival or departure date of the reservation. Enter the date the new taxes go into effect. Choose an ending date or no limit. RMS recalculates the amount.
