Message reads,"Do you want to release lock..."

Locks in RMS protect your data in the multi-process, multi-user environment.  It is important that valid locks are not deleted. 

Go to Help from the RMS Main Menu.  Choose View/Release Locks.  If there are outstanding locks, RMS will find them and display them in the list.  Choose an item from the list to [Unlock] or click the [Unlock All] button to clear all the locks.  These options should be used with caution.  RMS uses locks to protect your data’s integrity.  For example, to ensure a unit is not double booked for a reservation a unit’s date record will be locked until the reservation is processed.  It is very important that valid locks are not deleted by this utility.  If there are no locks the msg, "There are No outstanding locks currently in place" will display.
