First make sure RMS is not already obviously running. Check the bottom task bar of your desktop for the short cut. If an RMS shortcut is not apparent The Resort Management System thinks that the workstation where you are logging in is already running RMS. The error may occur in multi-user systems. This may happen because one of the files being used by the particular console where you are trying to log in did not close properly due to an error that may have happened when you were previously logged in. The Resort Management System recognizes that a file is still open and thinks your console is using it. To clear this error, reboot the entire system. Shut down each pc and the server. Bring the system back up beginning with the server followed by each console using RMS.
