This is a current liability account. This account is used to reflect the net of the money you owe the owners or they owe you. There are several ways to affect this account balance. Work orders, owner credits, owner debits, net reservation income, tax withheld from owner and owner checks all affect this account. When you post a work order to a unit the owner liability account is automatically debited for the work order amount. When an owner sends in a payment and you post an owner credit this account is automatically credited. The opposite, an owner debit, automatically posts a debit. During the finalize statements and print checks option, a credit is posted to this account for the net income received by the owner for each reservation and a debit is posted for any tax withheld from the owner net. When checks are printed to the owner, a debit is posted to this account for each check printed.
