Owner Login Setup

 

Owners are entered in the Owner File.  For more information on entering an owner go to Owner File

The Owner Login information is stored in the Unit File,Web Options,Login info.

When Owner Login is installed, RMS will fill in the passwords for all units.  The Owner will be prompted to change the password upon first logging in.

1.   The owner must have an email address.

2.   Must have “Allow owner login” checked in the Unit file for the owner. Unit File>Web Options>Login info.

3.   Must have a 6 characters or more password in the Login Details.  Unit File>Web Options>Login info.

4.   Must NOT have secret question or answer for first time logging in.  When these values are blank it forces the person logging in to change their password.

 

Owner Statement Notification

The Owner Statement Notification letter is a custom letter set up at the time of owner login installation.  To modify the letter go to Utilities,User Designed Letters,Custom Letters. RMS sends this letter out at owner statement finalize when it is set in the Control File>Information to Print>Owner Statements Info to Print.

 

Owner Login Notification

A custom letter may be sent to an owner via email or printed to inform the owner of the user ID and password needed to log into the Owner Portal.  The user ID is the Unit Number or merge tag **U:UNIT.ID** and the password merge tag is **UW:PASSWORD**.  During installation every owner is given the same password and prompted to change it upon their initial login.
