This screen allows you to:
Change the Control File settings shown.
Before you begin:
Choose the Files option from the Main Menu, and choose the Control File option. Then choose Report Options.
Unlike other sections of this chapter, each screen item description will be discussed instead of each prompt. This is a slight variance from the normal explanation method and is done due to the uniqueness of the control file options. When modifying an item, the prompt will closely resemble the screen item description.
Item Descriptions...
Envelope Left Margin:
This is the number of spaces to use as the left margin when printing continuous envelopes. A normal setting would be ‘54’.
Envelope Top Margin:
This is the number of vertical lines to skip down from the top before beginning to print the address on the envelope. A normal setting would be ‘12’
Spacing for Departure Listing:
Choose from [Single] or [Double] spacing for the Departure Listing report.
Guest Registration Card Used:
This is a customized setting for pre-printed card. Contact AMS if you are interested in setting up Guest Registration cards.
Check amount of deposit for resv confirmation:
This option would be set to [Yes] if you want to ensure that the original deposit amount has been paid. If a partial deposit payment has been made, setting this option to [Yes] would make the confirmation print the remaining balance as being due. The due date will also print on the confirmation letter if [Yes] is set. Set this option to [No] if any payment amount satisfies the deposit request.
Force entire deposit amount on CC report:
If this option is set to [Yes], any partial deposits not paid will be due and payable when printed on the credit card report.
Check amount of deposit for change resv:
Setting this option to [Yes] will verify that when a reservation is changed, the new calculated deposit amount has been paid. If previous payments are less than the calculated deposit amount, the difference will be due as the deposit. If this option is set to [No], previous payments are not taken into account when determining the deposit amount due.
