Reservations

Reservations are the basis of most of the information used in the Resort Management System.  A reservation is always made for a specific unit, for a particular time and for a person.  Availability information is maintained for three years for each unit.  The minimum time a unit may be booked is one day up to the maximum defined in the control file.  The maximum applies only to short-term reservations.

Five types of reservations can be made in RMS.  It is important that you understand the different types and how they are used.  The types are labeled ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ’CY’, ‘D’ and ‘E’’.  The types ‘B’, ‘C’ and ’D’ are owner related reservations.  It is not required that all reservation types be used.
