Sales Agent File

 

If your company wishes to use the Sales Agent Contact Report you must establish your sales agents in this file.  It is not required that you use this file.

 

When assigning numbers to the agents, you must start with number one and increment by one.  During the process of assigning reservations a sales agent (see Utilities) the system determines when to start back at agent one by seeing that the next sales agent number does not exist.  For example if you have five agents they should be numbered one through five.  After the system assigned agent five a reservation it would then want to assign agent six the next reservation, but would find that agent six does not exist and start back with agent number one.  If you have numbers one through five assigned and a number seven assigned, number seven would never get any reservations assigned.  If you have an agent that leaves the company you may either change the agents name to the new agent taking his place, thereby keeping the same number, or set the agent to inactive making the system skip the agent in the assignment process.  You must not delete an agent from the middle; you can only delete the last agent and change or inactivate the others.   See Also Sales Agent File Menu
