This screen allows you to:
Make a selection from the System Functions Menu.
Before you begin:
On the Main Menu of RMS choose Optimum and then System Functions. The following selections will be displayed:
Display Font:
You may change the display font by highlighting the type and style of font you would like and then clicking [OK]. The most common selection is "Courier New". The font you choose must be loaded into your system. You cannot display a font that you do not already have loaded.
Printer Defaults:
Three very important settings are located in Printer Defaults: base font size, base font name and vertical pitch. Advanced Management System suggests that if you are printing with a laser printer you set your fonts to 10, your font to Courier New and your vertical pitch to 6 LPI (lines per inch). These setting are printer specific and you may need to run reports to test which settings are most compatible with your printer and your Resort Management System.
Print Setup:
Select what printer you will be printing to in the print set up selection. If you are setting up a new printer, you may have software to load to make that printer available in the set up window. If you are not able to select your printer you may need to load or upgrade your printer driver. You can often find the most recent print driver for your printer on the manufacturer’s website.
Print Screen:
The print screen option allows you to print a screen from RMS.
Launch Activate Update Wizard:
This option will connect you to the Internet to check for any current updates.
