This utility can be beneficial when too many archived work orders are associated to a unit it may be desired to move the older work orders to the history file. History archived work orders can still be viewed or printed, they are just not shown in a current work order view (the most common view method). They can only be viewed by selecting the Use History work order file option on the Files menu of the Maintenance menu. The time frame of the work orders kept in the archive file is determined by using this option.
