Order of Initial Data Entry

 

AMS sends a Questionnaire when RMS is purchased.  These detailed questions help our technicians customize your system according to your requirements.  These settings can be changed at anytime except for your Company Name, which is part of your registration and licensing agreement.  If you need to change your Company Name or find that it is wrong when you receive your system call AMS before attempting to edit it.

It is recommended that you read over all the Concepts in the Help files before beginning with data entry.  Understanding the File Maintenance Concepts is key to setting up your Resort Management System properly.  All data entry will be done through the File Maintenance Menu .

The list below provides you with a recommended sequence of initial data entry.  It has proven to be the most efficient order for creating the required information for starting the Resort Management System.  If you answered your Questionnaire thoroughly, most of it should already be entered for you.  More details about Initial Data Entry are available in a booklet by Advanced Management Systems entitled, Getting Started in RMS.
